The cost of having a nice dinner out these days might make the average Nigerian wince. Nowhere is this more painfully pronounced than in Lagos, where soaring cost of living and aggravating income inequality can make eating out feel like the icing on an incredibly expensive cake. With salaries not rising to meet the cost of living, restaurat deals have popped up in the last few months to restore your faith in humanity.

There’s a hidden treasure trove here waiting to be explored, and we’ll uncover all of it in this guide to the tastiest restaurant deals in Lagos.

Restaurants with unlimited cocktail deals

Unlimited cocktails at certain Lagos restaurants have become such a trend that restaurant goers have adopted their own viral TikTok sound for sharing their experiences. Just like in the script of the TikTok sound, these deals are designed to make you literally go from “one bottle to two bottles” — or in this case, cocktails — “up to a chronic level.” The word ‘unlimited’ in some of these deals need to be taken with a pinch of salt though, as some of these restaurants actually cap your order to five or six cocktails. On the bright side, these cocktails are said to be so strong that they’re able to knock you out even with the limits. Read along to discover our top picks.

Chapter Lagos

This bottomless cocktails deal at Chapter Lagos seems to be trending the most when searching for unlimited drinks right now — probably because it runs every single day from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. You can walk into Chapter Lagos and get hammered with any amount of cocktails from the menu listed above for just ₦14,000.

Grey Matter

Grey Matter took a little break on us for a while, and we think they’re doing a great job of trying to catch up with the rest of Lagos. From Tuesdays to Fridays at 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., you can enjoy this all-you-can-drink special at Grey Matter from their unlimited cocktails menu.

Ki Bar & Kitchen

Ki Bar and Kitchen's unlimited cocktails menu

Ki Bar has always been known for their great cocktails and even better Asian food. So when they hopped on the unlimited cocktails train, I was super excited. Ki Bar’s unlimited cocktails deal runs from Tuesday to Friday too. On any of these days, you can walk in between 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and order as many cocktails as you like on their special menu for just ₦15,000!

Mantra Lagos

Mantra is a new kid on the block. This is a relatively new Pan-Asian restaurant that made the smart move of creating its own unlimited drinks deal — Mantra Magic Hour. This is the only deal we’ve found that explicitly states that you can have unlimited mocktails. So if you don’t drink, this is somewhere you can go with your friends that do drink and not feel left out. This deal is available from Tuesday to Sunday at 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Gaby Lagos

Remember when we said some of these ‘unlimited’ drinks deals were actually limited? Here’s exhibit A. Interestingly, Gaby’s limited-unlimited drinks deal isn’t just for one person.  Only on Saturdays and Sundays, you can walk into Gaby Lagos and have 6 cocktails for ₦20,000. But there’s a plus side: you’re allowed to share these drinks with your friends, so lowkey, it’s still a pretty good deal.

Casa Mia

Word on the street is that this is the best deal yet, and we agree. Not only does this deal include unlimited cocktails, but Casa Mia also threw in food and karaoke in the mix. And guess what? This is all for about the same price that other restaurants charge for just unlimited drinks — ₦15,000. Catch this every Thursday at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Restaurants with bottomless brunch deals

When Lagos babes aren’t ordering pasta, they’re going out to brunch. There’s just something super enticing about eating pancakes, waffles, french toast and everything else that’s considered breakfast food at midday . And the mimosas? They’re our favourite part. So of course, we couldn’t leave out these juicy bottomless brunches.

The Room Café

The Room Café is a recent favourite and they seem to be getting everything right on their menu, including brunch. Every Friday, you can show up to the Room Café with a friend for bottomless brunch which costs ₦25,000; the package includes a brunch tower and bottomless mimosas for an hour.

The Sidebar by Miskay

You just can’t talk about bottomless brunch in Lagos without including TheSideBar by Miskay. It made it to our list of top brunch spots in Lagos, with good reason. They currently have one of the best brunch deals, with a two-course meal and unlimited mimosas for just ₦15,000 per person every Sunday at 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sycamore by One Basket

Finally! Somewhere on the Lagos Mainland. I know mainlanders were probably starting to get worried at this point, wondering if any restaurants on the mainland would make our cut. Well, Sycamore by One Basket is here to the rescue with their Brunch & Bubbly deal for just ₦8,000.  The restaurant is located right in the heart of Magodo and includes bottomless mimosas and a special brunch menu.

Restaurants with Taco Tuesday deals

Are you really living in Lagos if you’ve never been to Taco Tuesday anywhere? Restaurants all over the world celebrate Tacos on Tuesdays, and Lagos isn’t left out. From restaurants that already serve Tacos in their everyday menus to others that just want to join in on the fun, there are usually some pretty good Taco deals in store every Tuesday at these restaurants.

El Padrino

According to El Padrino, they’re not a Mexican restaurant. They’re “Naija-Mexican” — whatever that means — and they embody this nomenclature by  creating fusion-style Tacos that Lagosians love to gather and eat. Every other day, they have a regular menu of Tacos, Burritos and other Mexican fast casual foods. However, every Tuesday, they serve some pretty good combos that you need to try out.

La Taverna

La Taverna used to be the venue for El Padrino’s Taco Tuesday before the latter moved into their own permanent space. El Padrino’s relocation didn’t stop La Taverna from continuing the tradition though. Any other day, La Taverna serves amazing Italian and Chilean cuisine. On Tuesdays however, they add Tacos into the mix with a tacos-only menu.

The Room Café

Tacos have always been on The Room Café’s menu as a starter, but on Tuesday, tacos take centre stage as The Room Café celebrates Taco Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  by offering them up for just ₦4,500 a portion. Just so we’re clear, that’s ₦4,500 for 3 Tacos, and ₦9,500 if they throw in a margarita. You can also get five different varieties of Tacos for ₦7,500.

Red Bar Lagos

Some say Red Bar is the best kept secret in Lagos, and they might just be right. Because how are we just hearing about this cute spot? Red Bar Lagos is a waterfront restaurant and bar in Lekki that has arguably the most pocket-friendly Taco Tuesday deal we’ve seen in this city. With just ₦6,500, you can get three tacos and a glass of champagne. That’s not all though: Red Bar also runs a buy-one-get-one-free promo every Tuesday, which means that you and a friend get to enjoy these tacos for just ₦6,500!

Other restaurant deals — honourable mentions

Pizza Wednesday at La Taverna

Restaurant culture purists will say that Pizza Wednesday isn’t really a thing like Taco Tuesday, but La Taverna begs to differ. Their weekdays are clearly full of the best deals, because all day every Wednesday, you get to order any pizza on their menu for just ₦4,500 — at least a 30% discount off their regular price of ₦6,200.

Pasta Thursday at La Taverna

As a true Lagos babe who’s always ordering pasta, I have to end this with my all-time favourite restaurant deal in Lagos. Where else can you get great pasta and a glass of red or white wine for ₦8,500? The answer is: nowhere. And that’s why you’ll find me at La Taverna every Thursday from 6 p.m., trying out one of the 12 different types of pasta on their Thursday menu.

If you’re a Lagos foodie trying to maintain the same level of enjoyment you’re used to through these inflation-ridden times, you can still have delicious fun without breaking the bank. My prediction is we’re going to keep seeing lots of more restaurant deals pop up, and I will be there no matter what.
